Happy Birthday J-Bug!

We celbrated Jaden's 1st birthday on her actual birthday, on Saturday with our family and Rachael. Nana and Papa Walker even flew in for the occasion. We went with the bug theme...as we call her J-bug. We ate breakfast, open gifts and played a few simple games. Rylie, Nana and I decorated cupcakes, Chad created a video, while Papa made bug balloon creations. Incredible! Chad's "year in review" video, was so touching. (I will figure out how to post it soon.)

This year has gone by so fast, and we cannot believe the wonderful gift of HAPPINESS and JOY we have in little J. She is so much fun, whose smile and laugh lights up a room. She is simply the sweetest gift. Thank you Jesus for her precious life!!!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Tonight, Rylie and Daddy are on a date with a few other dad's and daughters. After going to dinner together (3 dads and 3 daughters in a mini-van...love it) they headed to our church's Valentine Daddy Daughter Dance. It is a BIG DEAL...something the girls and dad's get all dressed up for. Here are a few shots when Chad saw her for the first time comeing down the stairs...

Rachel's Birthday

Rachel, who lives with us and loves on our little girls, turned 23 this week! She is someone who is sooooo kind and thoughtful to others, that it is wonderful to get to show love to her in return. WE LOVE YOU RACHEL!!!

Life...

Rylie has had a cough the past two days that is rather "productive sounding," yet insists, "I'm not sick!" Today she had a runny nose with the cough, a fever, and threw up, and still insisted, "I'm not sick!" Her temperment has not changed at all dispite her signs of being sick. This girl is a tough cookie! We made popcicles and ate them today, to soothe her sore throat. Hopefully J will not get sick...because I have a feeling she will not be in denial of being sick!

Dress up!

We had some friends over for dinner, who have 3.5 year old twins, Lola Grace and Jackson. They are all in Sunday school together and just had a blast playing dress up the other night. I love the expressions in these pictures...

Snow Kitchen!

This is becoming more and more common it seems...creating a snow kitchen! J still loves to just eat the snow the entire time we play. Rylie tried to feed it to her with a spoon. And...of course we made snowballs to throw out the front door and watch them SPLAT on the front porch. Fun to play in the snow...inside where it is warm! Ha! (As for why not pants for Rylie...they got wet with the snow, of course!)

Sledding!

Sledding in our backyard...J's first time! She did two face plants out of the sled...and did not even shed a tear. Love it.
