Rylie got introduced to the congregation at First Pres, on Father's Day. I brought her up front with me for a "visual aid" for part of my children's sermon. She brought some to tears, she was so sweet!
Here is a picture of Rylie's first nanny...Brooke! Brooke smother's Ryl's with good love and care.
Brooke is a student, that I (Jennie) have mentored for the past two years...and I am confident I have benefitted and learned more from Brooke that she from me. What a woman!
This past weekend, Chad and I did a babysitting swap with Heidi and Lucas. They took Rylie for an afternoon so Chad and I could go for a bike ride and then we took Colin and Taite so Heidi and Lucas could go out on a date night. These were a few pictures of the cousins getting more acquainted. Do they look alike?
We will be doing this on a regular basis. It is a win win for all...date nites for us and cousin time for the little ones!
Cousin Mariah (and Luke and Cyndi) came over to play this weekend. Here are the two "playing" together. They are about 4 months apart, so will have many more years of memories together!
Here is Rylie propping herself up. She can roll-over too!
We are wanting for little Rylie to be a "go" baby, ready to go when we are! So, at 3.5 months she made her way to San Francisco for a long weekend with family and friends. I am still not sure how one little person can require so much luggage!? She did so great on the plane, that when we stood to deboard after the 2.5 hour flight, the people in the row behind us said, "We did not know there was a baby on board!" Yeah Rylie!
Once in the city, the weather was beautiful, so we went for lots of walks, showing her the various sights.
Here is a brief clip of us going DOWN a very steep hill to get the waterfront. Now we know why there are safety straps on baby strollers...one slip and she would be on quite a ride!
The main reason we traveled to California was to meet up with all of Jennie's side of the family for her grandmother's memorial service. Though Rylie never got to meet her incredible great grandmother, we think she has her nose...and she does share her middle name - Louise!
When in the city we stayed with dear friends of our's, Courtney and Chetan. They have an incredible way of making others feel so cared for and valued. Thank you for letting us come and go, and spending quality time with us in between! We love you! Here is Chetan loving on Rylie.
