First Day of Preschool

It was a milestone day today...Rylie's first day of Preschool. We have been talking and reading about it for weeks, so needless to say, she was more than excited that it finally was time.

























Her teacher is Miss Cheri, who is about the sweetest woman you could ever imagine. I know her well through her leading with me at The Annex in the past. I asked Rylie what we should bring Miss Cheri and we came up with bringing her two fresh peaches...hence the bag she is carrying as she walks in...because Cheri is peachy!




And, the quote of the day...as we were driving home from Preschool and I was asking her about her big day, she said (multiple times), "I kissed a boy, and he didn't like it." "You kicked a boy?" "No, I kissed a boy, and really big kiss."

The Boulder Hometown Fair

Loads of fun to be had...

We entered our first ever Zucchini race...and Rylie's squash won 1st place! (Must have been her stellar decorations! Ha.) Only in Boulder do they replace the box car derby with a veggie car race!

Of course we hit Boulder Creek to cool off...

We were headed to the car after a fun afternoon...when Rylie heard the live music and asked to go and see. So, we ended the fair dancing to Van in the bandstand...




















We eventually headed back to the car, to go home and takes naps!





















Chad also broke away for a bit for some much needed guy time this weekend. Here are some pics of a hike, up to the the Royal Arch, in Boulder!

Go Buffs!

It has become a family tradition to go to the Buffalo Stampeded...a parade that takes place before each home football game...the band, dance team, players, coaches...and all of Boulder come out to show our pride. Rylie sang along to the fight song on multiple occasions. She's a fan.




Chad even made it to the game with some buddies! CU won, 24-3!

Cousin Finn

While I was in Washington for the girls weekend...I got to finish the weekend off with a dose of Brian and Finn. Of course it was way to short...and made me wish the miles were not between us. I LOVE YOU TWO SO MUCH.

A little nature hike...

We saw crickets, locusts, floated sticks down the creek, watched our rocks splash in the water, flew around like "tinker fairies," oh the simple joys of childhood! So much fun, so much fun!

Decorate a Cake!

Here is our latest arts and crafts project...a toy cake that the girls can decorate over and over and over again! Who knew that felt board art could be so fun!
